Bio
Adriana serves as the Assistant Director, Sophomore College and Student Staff Development with Stanford Introductory Studies (SIS), under the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE). She primarily works with the Sophomore College and Arts Intensive programs both of which are 3-week, residential programs that provide immersive and experiential learning opportunities for Stanford undergraduates. In her role, she implements the infrastructure required for the programs to operate. This includes managing internal application processes, residential components, student enrollment, course system set-up, and offering faculty and student support. She helps onboard, train, and guide student staff who support a variety of programs across SIS. Outside of VPUE, Adriana is a member of the Curriculum and Scheduling Advisory Board chaired by the Associate Registrar for Curriculum Management and Scheduling.
Adriana has 15+ years of experience in higher education. She previously served as the Stanford Visitor Center Coordinator and held positions at San Jose State University and The National Hispanic University. She received her MA in Liberal Arts from Stanford and BA in Sociology from CSU, Stanislaus. She enjoys working on 1000+ piece jigsaw puzzles and observing wildlife on her early morning jogs on campus.
