Anita Rathi was born and raised in a family of farmers in New Delhi, India. Anita is the first in her family to break the norm and pursue a career in Computer Science. Her father and her husband being the strong motivational pillar to achieve the unthinkable.

Anita holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from University of Delhi, Bachelor degree in Education from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, India, and Master degree in Computer Science from Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences, India.

Anita has also been a National level swimmer in India, and was awarded Sports Authority of India Scholarship.

She worked as Computer Science Educator at Delhi’s most prestigious institution (Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram) for 17 years prior to moving to US. After moving to California in 2016, Anita worked at San Francisco Unified School District teaching Computer Science to High School students. She simultaneously worked as Adjunct Computer Science Instructor at City College, San Francisco. As an educator she nurtures an undying desire to build the strongest pillars of the society.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the World”, as said by Nelson Mandela reveals an essential truth. The thought pushes her daily to take steps and make efforts towards greater academic excellence. Furthermore, instilling in her the conviction to continue working for betterment of mankind. In her tenure as an educator she has taught high school and college students from various backgrounds. This gave her the opportunity to do in-depth analysis of their access to higher education, literacy rates and social development. Her education and added experiences have increased her awareness of student’s requirement in Computer Science education.

Supplementing her Computer Science credentials, Anita is a Certified Project Manager/Scrum Master from UC Davis. She feels the extra credentials have enhanced her ability to handle challenging projects while increasing her efficiency as a Computer Science educator. Her ultimate and eventual goal being betterment of Computer Science education in schools.
