Aravind is a research associate with the Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFI). He is currently working on identifying cost effective energy storage technology and how to enable it to support smooth integration of increasing renewable generation capacity within the context of India’s expected electricity market structure. Prior to joining academia, he worked in various roles such as market research analyst for Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (Gas Turbine OEM), and design engineer for General Electric.
Aravind has completed a M.S. in Energy Science, Technology, and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University where his main focus were on topics in energy such as mechanical engineering and public policy.
