I have been engaged in international education since 1997, and currently focus on the impact that globalization and global awareness has on international higher education.

Current Role at Stanford

As the Director, Brendan is focused on international issues of long-term, strategic importance to the University. His goal is to help the university develop strategy and services that make it easier for faculty and students to carry out dynamic international research. In response to the impact globalization is having on higher education, Brendan works with schools and departments to develop creative ways to promote interdisciplinary research that addresses global issues. Brendan has been engaged in international education since 1997, and has a Ph.D. in International Development Education.

    Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs- Fulbright Programs Branch for Middle East and North Africa (2010-2011); Study of the United States Institutes Branch (2006-2010)

    Oversaw annual budgets of up to $19.5 million. Managed academic programs for scholars, professionals, and students. Administered cooperative agreements with U.S. universities and educational organizations. Analyzed grant proposals, assessed and monitored programmatic risk. Primary point of contact for U.S. Embassies and Consulates working on Fulbright programs. Implemented multiple Presidential and Congressional initiatives.
