Collin Wallace
Lecturer
BioCollin has over 20 years of experience as an engineer, inventor, operator, and investor. Before joining Lobby Capital, he was the Managing Director for Techstars Silicon Valley, where he launched the first two Techstars accelerator programs in the Bay Area in partnership with JP Morgan and eBay.
He started his career as the founder and CEO of FanGo Software Systems (TS S10), a leading company in restaurant mobile ordering. In 2011, FanGo was acquired by GrubHub, and Collin became the Head of Innovation, responsible for OrderHub, new technologies, and a significant portion of Grubhub’s pre-IPO patent portfolio.
In 2019, he co-founded ZeroStorefront (YC W19), a data analytics platform for restaurants, which Thanx acquired in 2022. He is an alumnus of both Techstars and YCombinator, an advisor for the Roelof Botha and Huifen Chan Innovation Program, and a faculty member at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he co-teaches the Startup Garage class.
Collin has run two YCombinator Demo Day Funds, investing primarily in marketplaces, developer tools, productivity, the future of work, sustainability and artificial intelligence. In total, he has invested in over 80 early-stage companies, including Payjoy, Landed, Mosaic Voice, Postscript, and Vellum.
Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, tinkering, and farming. Collin holds an engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He currently resides in San Mateo, California with his wife Doris, daughter Zoelle, and puppies Aspen & Penny. -

Yuyan Wang
Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Graduate School of Business
BioYuyan Wang is an assistant professor of marketing at Stanford Graduate School of Business. She earned her PhD in Statistics from Princeton University’s Department of Operations Research & Financial Engineering, and holds a BS in Statistics from the Special Class for the Gifted Young program at the University of Science of Technology of China. With over six years of industry experience at Uber and Google Brain as a machine learning researcher, she focused on designing algorithms for understanding and improving the long-term values of recommender systems for Uber Eats and YouTube. Her work has been recognized with the Best Paper Award at Conference on Information Systems and Technology (CIST).

Xavier Warnes

BioI am a Postdoctoral Scholar affiliated with both the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where I work with Dan Iancu and Erica Plambeck. I completed my Ph.D. in 2021 at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (OIT-group), advised by Dan Iancu and Yonatan Gur.
My research combines theoretical modeling and data-driven optimization to solve problems on sustainability and fairness. In particular, my current work focuses on designing fair and efficient mechanisms for reducing tropical deforestation and increasing farmer welfare in agricultural supply chains. -

As Innovation Catalyst, I make sure our courses and collateral are as rich and engaging as technology will allow. We use custom interactive media, video, animation, visual and UX design, and a wide variety of platforms to facilitate content delivery. I work closely with our faculty to enhance their connection to learners. -

As an IT Operations Analyst at our organization, I play a vital role in optimizing our digital work environment and ensuring an exceptional user experience for both internal teams and external clients. My core duties involve analyzing user needs, documenting policies, and developing business requirements to enhance the efficiency of our systems. Additionally, I manage licensing for various platforms and handle invoicing paperwork to ensure budget compliance.
In terms of key responsibilities, I oversee digital collaboration tools such as Slack and Asana, implementing communication guidelines and norms while also onboarding new team members. Furthermore, I serve as the Data Custodian for Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and accessibility while managing report folders. Additionally, I develop organization protocols for Google Drive and oversee license management for platforms like NovoEd, Sparkhire, and DocuSign.
My role extends to collaborating with design teams to enhance educational platforms' user interface and experience. I also oversee network websites and FAQs to ensure user-friendliness and value. Additionally, I support projects related to AI implementation and facilitate efficient communication through a staff-facing chatbot. -
Salomon Wollenstein Betech
Postdoctoral Scholar, Business
BioI am a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford, GSB working with Kostas Bimpikis and Yonatan Gur on topics related to transportation markets, supply chains and inventory management. Prior to my postdoc position, I received my Ph.D. in Systems Engineering (2022) at Boston University (advised by Christos G. Cassandras and Ioannis Ch. Paschalidis) and I have held industry-research positions at Amazon, IBM, Tubi and PROS.
My research focuses on understanding and improving the operations of transportation markets, mobility-on-demand platforms, and smart cities using empirics and network optimization methods. More broadly, I am interested in developing methods to inform public policy to address operational societal problems related to sustainability, health, and transportation.
