Ph.D. Student in Computational and Mathematical Engineering, admitted Autumn 2018
Digital Transformation Course Grader, Stanford Center for Professional DevelopmentBioHello! I’m a fifth year PhD candidate at ICME where I’m lucky to be advised by Johan Ugander, and grateful to be a Knight-Hennessy Scholar and NSF Graduate Research Fellow. I received my BS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the Colorado School of Mines in May 2017 and my MS in Computer Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder in August 2018. After receiving my MS I was a visiting researcher in the Stanford Autonomous Systems Lab, a Safeway cake decorator, and the owner and baker of Bell’s Bakery.

Ph.D. Student in Computational and Mathematical Engineering, admitted Autumn 2023
BioI am currently a Ph.D. student of the The Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME) at Stanford university. Prior to joining Stanford, I obtained my bachelor degree in computational mathematics at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University, fortunately having Prof. Liwei Wang as my research advisor. My research is highly interdisciplinary across machine learning, statistics, operations research. While primarily focusing on theoretical aspects, the ultimate goal of my research is to develop state-of-the-art solutions for important real-world problems.

Tetiana Parshakova
Ph.D. Student in Computational and Mathematical Engineering, admitted Autumn 2019
BioI am a Ph.D. candidate in Computational Mathematics at Stanford, working with Prof. Stephen Boyd.
My primary research objective is to develop efficient algorithms for computational problems using techniques from optimization, discrete mathematics, and statistics. In particular, my research interests include large-scale and distributed convex optimization, network science, learning and inference for network data, numerical and randomized linear algebra, low rank and structured optimization, and machine learning.
Prior to my Ph.D., I received a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering at KAIST.
I am Ukrainian.
