BioI'm interested in machine learning and medicine. My research centers on understanding how models learn and make predictions—and how we can analyze these processes.
Currently, I focus on vision and language models, exploring how models process information across modalities. I'm also beginning to explore reinforcement learning, particularly how it might contribute to building good enough decision-making systems—perhaps one day in medical contexts.
Recently, we thought deeply about positional encoding and how transformers can actually use patch positions in higher dimensions (LieRE in ICML). We also shared a tool to quantify and explain factual errors for radiology reports (GREEN in EMNLP, Findings) and how structured inputs can help the model to make better predictions (ACL). -
