Research Abstract:
Jason is currently PhD student in the Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) with a focus on strategy and policy. His research interests lie at the intersection of corporate strategy, innovation and national security. Specifically, he studies the evolution of the knowledge economy and how private vs. public R&D expenditure shifts have shaped technological impacts. This includes research in innovation ecosystems, big-data network analyses, and case-based research on technology entrepreneurship. Jen Rhymer
Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Management Science and Engineering
BioJen Rhymer is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Center for Work, Technology, and Organization (WTO) at Stanford University in the Management Science and Engineering Department (MS&E).
Her research focuses on understanding how organizations design systems of work, particularly in the context of location-independent and virtual-first organizations. She leverages field studies to develop theoretical insight related to organizational structures and behaviors being utilized for collaboration. In addition, she explores how organizations use technology to coordinate and control activities. This research contributes to ongoing conversations around organizational design and the future of work.
