    Shiqiang (Nick) Zou

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Civil and Environmental Engineering

BioShiqiang (Nick) is a Postdoc Scholar in Dr. Meagan Mauter's group. He earned his Ph.D. degree at Virginia Tech (Blacksburg) focusing on nutrient-energy-water (NEW) nexus and development of sustainable technologies with minimized footprint. His research projects include osmotically driven membrane processes (water recovery and reuse), bioelectrochemical systems (energy recovery), and photocatalytic applications. With a dual-background in Environmental Engineering and Chemistry, he would like to contribute more on interdisciplinary wastewater treatment, water reuse, and multi-level resource recovery.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Civil and Environmental Engineering

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsAdam's research concerns natural hazards engineering in general, focusing on probabilistic hazard assessment; calibration and development of numerical models to estimate structural response, damage, and losses; and large-scale simulations to describe the impact of natural disasters on an urban environment.
