Scott Calvert
Sr. Associate Dean for Administration, School of Engineering
BioScott Calvert is responsible for school operations including finance, HR, IT, facilities, and research administration. He held a similar position at Stanford in the office of the vice provost for undergraduate education prior to joining the engineering team. Before coming to Stanford, Scott was a Navy fighter pilot for 21 years after receiving a commission through the NROTC program at Duke University where he earned a BSE in mechanical engineering. He made numerous deployments aboard aircraft carriers flying F-14s and F/A-18s, and between squadron assignments, he attended US Navy Test Pilot School on a cooperative program with the Naval Postgraduate School where he earned an MSAE in aeronautical engineering. In addition, he has an MBA from Columbia University.

Moutaz has 15 years of experience at leading companies that manufacture semiconductors. He has been part of the foundry technology organization at Advanced Micro Devices, where his team is involved in defining yield-acceleration strategies that enable high-performance semiconductor solutions. Moutaz was previously a project manager at IBM, leading a team of 25 engineers who contributed US $5.5 million to IBM’s annual savings by pushing the limits of chip manufacturing technology. At Mentor Graphics, Moutaz led a joint development agreement and concluded consulting engagements that contributed US $15 million in revenue over three years. Early in his career, Moutaz co-founded Innovance after taking second in the Technology Development Fund competition for best startup business model in Cairo, Egypt, in 2006. -
Jeff Gordon

Current Role at StanfordJeff Gordon is the Senior Associate Director of Corporate Relations in Stanford’s School of Engineering. In this role he works with faculty and colleagues to advance the School's corporate partnership programs, build long-term relationships with companies, and increase the flow of industry support to the School through gifts, affiliate memberships, and sponsored research. He assists with the formation and growth of industrial affiliate programs that provide companies a portal for connecting with Stanford's research community in areas of shared interests.He serves on Advisory Board of many of Stanford's largest clubs and project-based student groups. Prior to joining Stanford Engineering he served as Senior Director of Program Development and External Partnerships at the San Jose State University Research Foundation where he facilitated increased support to San Jose State’s research and academic programs across multiple academic disciplines. He also held strategy, business development, marketing and sales positions during a successful career in the telecommunications sector. Prior career experience includes serving as Pacific Bell Sales Vice President and Director of Broadband Services, Strategy and Product Marketing He as been consultant to many tech-based entrepreneurial ventures and served as Director of Industry Relations for Silicon Valley start-up IPWireless. He has also provided business/market development and strategic consulting services to private and public sector, as well as non-profit clients. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from San Diego State University, and M.A. in Public Policy Analysis from Claremont Graduate University. He also was a Coro Public Affairs Leadership Fellow.

Fikunwa Kolawole

Assistant Director, School of Engineering - Student AffairsBioFikunwa is a mechanical engineering Ph.D. candidate in the cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Lab (Ennis Lab) in the Stanford Radiology Department. His research, which is at the intersection between medicine and engineering, is focused on developing mechanics-based clinical biomarkers for heart disease. Through his research, he aims to establish a comprehensively validated and clinically viable tool for estimating in vivo heart tissue stiffness to better understand and manage heart failure.
He began his academic journey as a mechanical engineering undergraduate student at Howard University during which time he also worked as a researcher at the FDA’s department of applied mechanics, characterizing the mechanical response of metals used in implantable cardiovascular devices. At Howard, he also supported research in the Applied Mechanics and Materials Lab and Biosensors Lab, as an undergraduate research assistant. Upon completing his undergraduate studies, in 2019, he joined Stanford University’s mechanical engineering department. He is also affiliated with the Radiology departments at Stanford and the Veterans Administration Palo Alto Health Care System.
