BioAna Fonseca is an undergraduate student at Florida International University, expected to graduate in Spring 2027 with a major in Biomedical Engineering, a minor in Chemistry, and a concentration in Tissue Engineering. She has conducted research at the Cardiovascular Matrix Remodeling (CMRL) Laboratory under the mentorship of Dr. Joshua Hutcheson since Spring 2024, focusing on the testing of novel therapeutics aimed at reducing and reversing the effects of vascular calcification. She plans to continue her research in graduate school, with interests spanning biomedical engineering, immunology, and tissue engineering.
