Mohamadali Malakoutian
Postdoctoral Scholar, Electrical Engineering
BioMohamadali is an experienced Postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University with a demonstrated history of working in high-power high-frequency transistors, all-diamond diodes, and diamond integration for thermal management, III-V wide bandgap semiconductors, integrated microsystems including MEMS/NEMS devices, and microfluidic channels. He is an expert in fab process design-integration, process and device modeling (Athena, Atlas), thin-film deposition techniques (Evaporation, Sputtering, PVD, ALD, and PECVD), dry etching (ICP/RIE etching of Diamond, AlN, SiN, Al2O3, SiO2), wet etching (bulk Si micromachining), and single-crystalline/polycrystalline diamond growth. He is currently working on the growth, fabrication, and characteristics of GaN HEMTs with diamond integrated for thermal management to solve the self-heating problem of mm-wave devices.

BioMcKeown researches techniques to improve the Internet. Most of this work has focused on the architecture, design, analysis, and implementation of high-performance Internet switches and routers. More recently, his interests have broadened to include network architecture, backbone network design, congestion control; and how the Internet might be redesigned if we were to start with a clean slate.

Teresa Meng
Reid Weaver Dennis Professor in Electrical Engineering and Professor of Computer Science, Emerita
BioTeresa H. Meng is the Reid Weaver Dennis Professor of Electrical Engineering, Emerita, at Stanford University. Her research activities in the first 10 years focused on low-power circuit and system design, video signal processing, and wireless communications. In 1998, Prof. Meng took leave from Stanford and founded Atheros Communications, Inc., which developed semiconductor system solutions for wireless network communications products. After returning to Stanford in 2000 to continue her teaching and research, Prof. Meng turned her research interest to applying signal processing and IC design to bio-medical engineering. She collaborated with Prof. Krishna Shenoy on neural signal processing and neural prosthetic systems. She also directed a research group exploring wireless power transfer and implantable bio-medical devices. Prof. Meng retired from Stanford in 2013.

Fernando Mujica
Adjunct Professor, Electrical Engineering
BioFernando Mujica is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1999 and B.S. and M.S. degrees from Universidad Simón Bolivar in 1993 and 1995, respectively. Prof. Mujica's research interests are in the area of signal processing. He has been granted more than 25 US patents over a wide range of applications. Prof. Mujica was elected to the Tau Beta Pi Teaching Honor Roll in 2022.

Suresh Nambi

BioI am a first-year master’s student pursuing MS EE (Computer Architecture and Embedded Systems track) at Stanford University.
My research interests lie primarily in the area of Computer Systems Architecture. My research involves the development and implementation of efficient and effective hardware architectures for a given application. I am constantly striving to improve my understanding of computing systems, to develop better intuition of the tradeoffs involved, and make better well-informed hardware architecture decisions.
Before starting my MS, I worked at Nvidia as an ASIC Design Engineer in the GPU Hardware Security team, where I contributed to the development of computer chips used in datacenters. Prior to that I worked at Ceremorphic a stealth startup on their first energy-efficient AI supercomputing test chip and gained insight into their heterogenous computing model.
I completed my undergraduate studies at BITS Pilani, India. During this period, I was associated with Prof. Akash Kumar at the Chair for Processor Design, TU Dresden for my year-long undergraduate thesis. I also had the opportunity to work under Prof. Gerd Grau during my MITACS Globalink Summer Internship.
