BioMariam Atallah is a photographer and filmmaker with deep roots in Cairo, Egypt, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in filmmaking and discovered her creative spark through the city’s lively streets. Her work examines connections and tensions between Egypt and the United States, exploring how political, social, and personal systems intersect across both contexts. She has been a fellow with the Diverse Voices in Docs Fellowship at Kartemquin Films, and her work has screened at the Toronto Arab Film Festival and the Egyptian American Film Festival.
