Bee has been with Stanford for more than 20 years. She started working for Department of Urology, then moved to Department of Medicine as a Residency Coordinator. In 2004, she ventured to Department of Pediatrics to run the Fellowship Program. After working for School of Medicine, she decided to join the other side of the campus in the Department of Theater and Performance Studies and explore her creative side. Bee loves to dance and listen to different kinds of music (except for heavy metal). When she is off from work, she loves to watch various concerts around the Bay Area. She loves dogs and will stop, pet or sometimes talk to dogs that walk around campus. email -
Lisa Ewan
Director of Finance and Operations, Psychology
Current Role at StanfordI currently manage the Department of Psychology within the School of Humanities and Sciences. The program offers undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees in Psychology, and conducts research in the areas of affective science, neuroscience, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology and social psychology. The department also incorporates programs such as the Center for Social Psychological Answers to Real-World Questions (SPARQ), the Project for Education Research that Scales (PERTS), the College Transition Collaborative (CTC), and the Center for Mind, Brain and Computation (MBC).
I direct the administrative functions of the department including finance and accounting, research administration, faculty affairs, human resources, student services, academic program management, facilities, and general administration. There are approximately 40 faculty, 70 doctoral students, 150 undergraduate majors, 40 postdoctoral scholars and 100 staff members in the department. I also serve as coach for other management staff at the university as part of the Stanford Manager's Academy program. -

Emily worked in Undergraduate Advising and Research as the Research Programs Coordinator, supporting Stanford's phenomenal undergraduate researchers and student grants programs, in her previous Stanford position before June 2017.
Before moving to California in late 2014, Emily worked with undergraduates at MIT as a Graduate Resident Tutor. In addition to her position at MIT, she worked as an editorial assistant at the American Journal of Kidney Diseases, a leading journal in clinical nephrology. Emily completed both her BA and MA in English literature at Purdue University, where she taught introductory composition and rhetoric. -

Hanqiu Li

BioHanqiu received her B.A. from the University of Rochester in 2021 with an honor degree in Psychology. Her research interests focus on emotion regulation and the role of emotions (particularly loneliness) in social interactions. She is also interested in the fields of psychophysiology, sleep, self-compassion, and color psychology. She has worked with the lab as a volunteer research assistant at SPL since Summer 2020 and is the current Lab Manager of SPL. She loves cats but she is allergic to cat fur.
