Mandeep Kapur, MD

BioDr. Kapur is a double board-certified psychiatrist. After completing her General Psychiatry residency at Tulane University, she moved back to California for her Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Stanford University. With this specialized training, Dr. Kapur has expertise in ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, parent-child relational problems, among other mental health problems.
Dr. Kapur provides compassionate, evidence-based care for children, teens, young adults, and their families. She is committed to providing personalized treatment plans designed to meet each patient's unique needs and goals using a holistic, patient-centered approach to ensure the best possible outcomes. -
Steve Khachi, M.D.
Adjunct Lecturer, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences - Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Child Development
BioDr. Steve Khachi is a double-board-certified psychiatrist specializing in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. He is the Founder and Medical Director of the Mind Study Center in Pasadena, California—an integrated mental health clinic offering psychotherapy, medication management, neuropsychological evaluations, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). His clinic emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical excellence, and innovation in care delivery.
Dr. Khachi serves as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at both Stanford University and the University of Southern California (USC), where he teaches and supervises child psychiatry fellows and residents. He is passionate about education and mentorship, and is committed to advancing the next generation of clinicians.
Dr. Khachi completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Stanford University, where he served as Chief Fellow. He completed residency in General Psychiatry at UC San Diego, received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, and earned his B.S. in Biochemistry–Molecular Biology from UC Santa Barbara. His additional training includes research fellowships at UCSF and the NIH/Howard Hughes Medical Institute. -
Lynn Kern Koegel
Clinical Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences - Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Child Development
BioDr. Lynn Kern Koegel has been active in the development of programs to improve communication in children with autism, including the development of first words, grammatical structures, pragmatics, and social conversation. In addition to her published books and articles in the area of communication and language development, she has developed and published procedures and field manuals in the area of self-management and functional analysis that are used in school districts and by parents throughout the United States, as well as translated in other major languages. Dr. Lynn Koegel is the author of Overcoming Autism and Growing Up on the Spectrum with parent Claire LaZebnik, published by Viking/Penguin and available in most bookstores. Lynn Koegel and her husband, Robert, are the developers of Pivotal Response Treatment which focuses on motivation. The Koegels have been the recipients of many awards, including the first annual Children’s Television Workshop Sesame Street Award for “Brightening the Lives of Children”, the first annual Autism Speaks award for “Science and Research” and the International ABA award for “enduring programmatic contributions in behavior analysis.” In addition, Dr. Lynn Koegel appeared on ABC’s hit show “Supernanny” working with a child with autism. Their work has also been showcased on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and the Discovery Channel. The Koegels are the recipients of many state, federal, and private foundation gifts and grants for developing interventions and helping families with autism spectrum disorder.
