    Saurabh Sharma

Postdoctoral Scholar, General and Vascular Surgery

BioDr. Saurabh Sharma previously worked for almost 1.5 years as a Post-doctoral Chemist/Pharmacologogist at the Tersaki Institute of Biomedical Innovation, Los Angeles, California. He also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics, School of Health Sciences, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Energy Acres, Bidholi via prem nagar, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He completed his doctoral degree from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, BITS-Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan, India. His research work has focused on the “Development and Evaluation of Lipo-polymeric Nano-carriers Containing MicroRNA-34a and Docetaxel for the Treatment of Breast Cancer”. His experience in the Design, Synthesis, and characterization of Novel multi-functional polymeric carriers, miRNA/small molecules nanoformulations, Bioanalytical method development and validation of small molecules and oligonucleotides, In vitro cell culture & molecular biological studies: transfection, endocytic uptake & subcellular pathway mechanism, complexation assay, cytotoxicity, apoptosis, cell cycle, cellular uptake, and gene expression, In vivo pharmacokinetics (in rat and mice), tissue distribution study, nanoformulation-toxicity study with clinical biochemical and histological parameters. His research work has yielded research publications in internationally reputed journals. He is interested in novel polymer/biomaterial synthesis, nanocarrier-mediated small molecules, and nucleic acid delivery systems for the treatment of several diseases and immunotherapy. This opportunity allows him to share his experience in interdisciplinary research and learn delivery aspects, which impart several advantages in the treatment of several diseases.
