George F Tidmarsh
Adjunct Professor, Pediatrics - Neonatology
BioDr. Tidmarsh received M.D. and Ph.D. from Stanford University, where he also completed fellowship training in Pediatric Oncology and Neonatology and is currently Adjunct Faculty of Pediatrics and Neonatology. He served as clinical faculty at Stanford for a number of years after fellowship prior to devoting his full time to clinical research and development in order to bring new treatments through the FDA approval process. Dr. Tidmarsh was President, Chief Executive Officer, Secretary and a Director of La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company from January 2012 until November 2019. While at La Jolla, Dr. Tidmarsh helped discover the use of angiotensin II for the treatment of shock and led all aspects of the development including approval by the US FDA and the EMA for the treatment of patients suffering from distributive shock. He also led the development of artesunate for the treatment of severe malaria, now FDA approved. Dr. Tidmarsh has over 30 years of experience in biotechnology, including the successful clinical development of 6 FDA-approved drugs. He previously served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Horizon Pharma, Inc., a company he founded in 2005. While at Horizon, he led all aspects of development of Duexis, which was approved by the FDA for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. In 2022, Horizon was sold to Amgen for $28B. He also founded Threshold Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and held senior positions at Coulter Pharmaceutical, Inc. (acquired by GlaxoSmithKline) and SEQUUS Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (acquired by Johnson & Johnson). While at Coulter and SEQUUS, Dr. Tidmarsh led the clinical development of BEXXAR and Doxil, respectively, two FDA-approved anti-cancer agents.
At Stanford, Dr. Tidmarsh is devoted to teaching clinical research and development to residents, fellows and junior faculty. He founded and taught the Masters in Translational Research and Applied Medicine, one of the only translational medicine programs at Stanford. In addition, he is working to help improve the quality of medical care through various efforts which include serving on the board of Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health, as co-Director of the Drug Device Development Program he started in 2017 and as a Senior Advisor for the Center for Pediatric and Perinatal Education (CAPE). He focuses most of his efforts currently on improving scientific data integrity in published literature. -

BioDr. Molly Timmerman is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is Affiliated Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation/Orthopedic Surgery. She practices at Veterans Health Administration in Palo Alto, where she is Medical Director of Regional Amputation Center and the Polytrauma Network Site. She specializes in traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic headache management, and amputation medicine.

BioI pursue my career path as a physician-scientist in the field of Radiology and Biomedical Data Science. My focus is translational research aiming to develop clinically relevant AI systems. I have conducted research on artificial intelligence (AI) system to improve ultrasound surveillance for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), deep learning models for the assessment of hepatic steatosis, Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) for B-mode and contrast-enhanced ultrasound, as well as AI techniques for quantitative analysis of such imaging modalities.

LGBTQ+ Health Research Biostatistician/Epidemiologist, Obstetrics & Gynecology - General GYN
BioNguyen K. Tran (he/him), PhD, MPH is a social epidemiologist with The PRIDE Study at Stanford University School of Medicine. In his current role, he applies his training in epidemiology, data science, and causal inference to conduct and support community-engaged research that addresses the health priorities of LGBTQIA+ communities, with the goal of advancing health equity for these populations. Substantively, this work focuses on the social and structural influences on healthcare access, mental health, and infectious diseases. Methodologically, he is interested in epidemiologic and statistical approaches for reducing bias in observational research.

BioAmber W. Trickey, PhD, MS, CPH, is a health services biostatistician working with the S-SPIRE Center. She supports multidisciplinary teams in research design, implementation, and analysis. Dr. Trickey obtained degrees in epidemiology and biostatistics, and certifications in public health and SAS data analysis. She has evaluated data quality in surgical and trauma care, supported multiple clinical trials, and led data validation studies using the ACS-NSQIP surgical registry and administrative claims. Dr. Trickey has contributed to public and private grants on surgical safety, healthcare quality metrics, simulation-based training, team communication, error disclosure, and emergency services.

BioDoran Triggs is a Clinical Research Manager at the Stanford Center for Clinical Research and works within the SCCR Trial Monitoring and Quality and Compliance Team.
Doran received a bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University. Doran has focused her training on regulatory compliance and study data monitoring over her 6 years in Clinical Research. Doran brings experience coordinating and monitoring a wide variety of clinical research studies, including Gastritis and/or Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis, Celiac Disease, Women’s Heart Health, Peripheral Artery Disease, Heart Failure, Critical Limb Ischemia, and Digital Health and Patient registry solutions in Vascular disease patients. Most recently, she helped develop and manages SCCR's monitoring program as well as monitor multiple trials within SCCR and other departments across the SOM. -

BioMindy Tsai is Sr. Research Scientist in the Department of Pathology. She received the D.M.Sc. (Doctor of Medical Sciences) in Oral Biology from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed her postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Tsai’s research focuses on studies that are designed to understand the regulation of mast cell and basophil development and to elucidate the roles of these cells in health and disease. Dr. Tsai’s research approaches include in vitro analyses of mast cells and basophils in human and mice, as well as using mouse models of disease to investigate the effector and immunoregulatory functions of these cells in vivo.
