  BioDr. Astrid N. Zamora is a public health researcher and epidemiologist committed to advancing health equity in Latino/a/x communities across the United States and Mexico. Her research explores how environmental exposures, dietary behavior/patterns, physical activity, and sleep, independently and jointly, impact cardiometabolic and related health outcomes. Her goal is to blend epidemiologic methods with community-based participatory research so that her work is guided by the lived experiences and priorities of the communities she serves. Ultimately, she hopes to translate those findings into practical, equitable public health strategies aimed at reducing disparities and empowering marginalized populations.
