Clinical Assistant Professor (By courtesy), DermatologyBioRyanne Brown, M.D., M.B.A., is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology and (by courtesy) Dermatology. She completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology followed by Surgical Pathology and Dermatopathology fellowships at Stanford. She is board certified in both Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology (American Board of Pathology) and Dermatopathology (American Boards of Pathology/Dermatology). Her interests include cutaneous lymphoma and histiocytic neoplasms.

Fellow in PathologyBioI am a clinical fellow in dermatopathology at Stanford Health Care. I completed my anatomic and clinical pathology residency (2019-2023), chief residency (2022-2023), and hematopathology fellowship (2023-2024) at Stanford Health Care. I received my MD and PhD (molecular biology/microbiology) in the UCLA-Caltech Medical Scientist Training Program, where I developed expertise in bacterial pathogenesis and drug discovery. I was an undergraduate at Stanford, where I studied biology. I am interested in emerging and neglected infections, lymphoma, infectious causes of cancer, global health, and therapeutics and diagnostics development.

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsOur interests include:
1) The physiology and function of lymphocyte homing in local and systemic immunity;
2) Biochemical and genetic studies of molecules that direct leukocyte recruitment;
3) Chemotactic mechanisms and receptors in vascular and immune biology;
4) Vascular control of normal and pathologic inflammation and immunity;
5) Systems biology of immune cell trafficking and programming in tumor immunity.
