  Current Role at StanfordAs the curator or subject specialist for the Germanic collections and for medieval studies, I select new materials and provide reference assistance; I also work with faculty and students to help them find the materials that they need for their research and teaching.
  
  The Germanic Collections include materials for research and instruction in literature and linguistics, cultural studies, history, and social studies. The geographic scope of these collections includes the Scandinavian countries, Flemish-speaking Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands; however, the primary collecting areas are Germany, Austria, and German-speaking Switzerland.

  Current Role at StanfordI develop and maintain Stanford University Libraries’ collections of current, rare, and antiquarian materials in all formats in French and Italian languages in all areas of research, and about France, its colonies, and Italy in all languages. I provide bibliographical reference support and instruction on French and Italian subjects to faculty and students at all levels. In conjunction with faculty members, students, and colleagues, I participate in the planning and execution of projects such a digitization, exhibits, and programing, using materials in the French and Italian collections, .
  
  I also lead the Humanities and Area Studies Resource Group, the team of humanities and foreign language librarians at Stanford University Libraries.
