Diane Wade

BioDiane is a Research Finance Manager for the Department of Energy Science and Engineering at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. In this role, she oversees finance, grant, and affiliate management, including faculty financial portfolios and sponsored grants through all stages, from pre-award to post-award. She collaborates with faculty on research proposals and provides training to new Research Administrators to enhance their understanding of complex financial and sponsored research processes. Russell Wald
Executive Director of HAI, Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI)
BioRussell Wald serves as the Executive Director of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI). In this role he oversees HAI's research, education, finance and administrative activities, communications, industry programs, and policy and society hub. Wald works with HAI's co-directors and faculty leaders to help shape the strategic vision and human-centered mission of HAI. From 2020 - 2022 he served as HAI's first Director of Policy and later Managing Director for Policy and Society.
He is the co-author of various publications on AI including, Building a National AI Research Resource (2021), Enhancing International Cooperation in AI Research: The Case for a Multilateral AI Research Institute (2022), The Centrality of Data and Compute for AI Innovation: A Blueprint for a National Research Cloud (2022, Notre Dame Journal of Emerging Technologies). Currently he is part of a HAI seed grant research project titled, Addicted by Design: An Investigation of How AI-fueled Digital Media Platforms Contribute to Addictive Consumption. Additionally, he serves as a member of the AI Index Steering Committee, hosted by HAI.
Wald has held various policy program and government relations positions at Stanford University for over a decade. He also served as special assistant to Amy Zegart and Ashton Carter at Stanford's Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC). In 2014, he co-designed and led the inaugural Stanford congressional boot camp, and has since created numerous tech policy boot camps, establishing a strong and effective tradition of educating policymakers at Stanford and enhancing the collaboration between governments and academic institutions.
Prior to his work at Stanford, he held numerous roles with the Los Angeles World Affairs Council. He is a Visiting Fellow with the National Security Institute at George Mason University, and a former Term Member with the Council on Foreign Relations and the Truman National Security Project. Wald is a graduate of UCLA. -

BioJohn J. Walker is technology administrator for the JSK Journalism Fellowships. He manages all the software and digital infrastructure that keeps the fellowship running and accessible to applicants and collaborators from around the world and within the Stanford community. This includes the fellowship application platform, the JSK website and the various tools the program uses to communicate and collaborate.
John started working at Stanford in 1999. Previously he was web administrator for the Department of Communication and the technical director of the Political Communication Lab. There he created experimental manipulations for social science research, like testing people’s responses to political ads. Before Stanford, he worked at Sun Microsystems as a software developer.

Kimberly Walker

Current Role at StanfordKim is Manager of the Instructional Design and Production group (EdTech) in the School of Medicine at Stanford University. She consults with SoM faculty to design and develop online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses for undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education. Kim holds a Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Instructional Design and Science Education from the University of South Florida. Collin Wallace

BioCollin has over 20 years of experience as an engineer, inventor, operator, and investor. Before joining Lobby Capital, he was the Managing Director for Techstars Silicon Valley, where he launched the first two Techstars accelerator programs in the Bay Area in partnership with JP Morgan and eBay.
He started his career as the founder and CEO of FanGo Software Systems (TS S10), a leading company in restaurant mobile ordering. In 2011, FanGo was acquired by GrubHub, and Collin became the Head of Innovation, responsible for OrderHub, new technologies, and a significant portion of Grubhub’s pre-IPO patent portfolio.
In 2019, he co-founded ZeroStorefront (YC W19), a data analytics platform for restaurants, which Thanx acquired in 2022. He is an alumnus of both Techstars and YCombinator, an advisor for the Roelof Botha and Huifen Chan Innovation Program, and a faculty member at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he co-teaches the Startup Garage class.
Collin has run two YCombinator Demo Day Funds, investing primarily in marketplaces, developer tools, productivity, the future of work, sustainability and artificial intelligence. In total, he has invested in over 80 early-stage companies, including Payjoy, Landed, Mosaic Voice, Postscript, and Vellum.
Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, tinkering, and farming. Collin holds an engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He currently resides in San Mateo, California with his wife Doris, daughter Zoelle, and puppies Aspen & Penny. -

Research Assistant, Martinez's programBioDarion A. Wallace, from Inglewood, CA, is a Ph.D. student in the Graduate School of Education in the Race, Inequality, and Language in Education, History of Education, and Sociology of Education programs. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric and African American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in International Education Policy Analysis from Stanford University. As a Black Education Studies scholar, Darion’s research draws upon Black Studies, Sociology, and History, while employing mixed methods, to interrogate the ways K-12 American schools cohere logics of (anti)blackness and structure the life and educational outcomes of Black students across temporal and spatial bounds. Moreover, he is interested in how abolitionist praxes, pedagogies, and epistemologies rooted in the Black radical and intellectual tradition have and continue to serve a liberatory function in the project of Black education. To this aim, Darion is interested in partnering with public schools and libraries to develop secondary students’ historical literacies and archival skills to help them better understand the localized sociopolitical context that undergirds their lived experience. Previously, he has worked with the Learning Policy Institute as a Research and Policy Associate, the Service Employees International Union as an Organizer, and San Francisco State University as an Africana Studies Lecturer on Black Masculinities and Black Social Science.

He conducted his undergraduate research under Professor Mark Eriksson, where he studied Semiconductor Quantum Dot Qubits. His work focused on developing experimental techniques and numerical tools to automate gate-voltage calibration procedures for quantum dot devices. As an NSF Fellow and graduate student with the Bøttcher group at Stanford, Patrick is interested in using Josephson Junction Arrays to study a variety of problems in condensed matter, including vortex dynamics, quantum phase transitions, and novel material platforms.

• Radiation safety of X-ray imaging practice to ascertain the compliance of State and Federal regulations, The Joint Commission recommendations, requirements from related accreditation bodies and University policies
• Quality control program of X-ray imaging practice (Computed tomography, Interventional equipment, Fluoroscopy and Radiography) for Imaging and Interventional Services at hospitals
• Radiation dose monitoring and CT protocol optimization; Work with each clinical section on task-specific CT Dose and Image Quality optimization by utilizing our state-of-the-art CT equipment and novel iterative reconstruction techniques
• Review proposed research uses of x-rays in human subjects for Stanford IRB: evaluate doses and estimate risks and advise research investigators on radiation safety issues and how to solve related problems.
