Bio


As Director, Finance and Administration for Stanford Biodesign, Carolyn Heller manages core programs and oversees day-to-day operations across multiple program initiatives, including all finance functions, human resources, faculty affairs, administration, office administrators, development and the 5,000 square foot Biodesign Research, Collaboratory and Prototyping Studio facilities. Carolyn teaches Program Development in the Global Faculty in Training program. In her role, Carolyn leads initiatives in partnership with the Office of Technology and Licensing, Medical Center Development, Industrial Contracts Office, Land, Buildings & Real Estate, and the Office of Academic Affairs. Carolyn participates in D&I initiatives across campus.

Prior to joining Biodesign, Carolyn served as the Operations Manager in the Stanford School of Medicine, Office of the Dean. Carolyn was the founder and CMO of a sustainable products company, a global senior product manager at Mattel and a senior consultant at Accenture.

Carolyn earned an MBA from University of Michigan Ross School of Business, a BA from Tulane University and completed the Women Entrepreneurship program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
