Current Research and Scholarly Interests

My research and study interests are related to optimization techniques in general and their role in solving a wide variety of reservoir engineering problems. They range from field development strategies, such as well placement and well settings optimization, to reservoir monitoring tasks, such as history matching and related data assimilation stages associated to real-time simulation and optimization, also known as "closed-loop" reservoir modeling. I am also interested in addressing static, dynamics and/or operational uncertainties through the optimization of multiple model realizations or similar approaches.
