Bio


Elizabeth Hoyte is a communications leader at Stanford University, bringing more than 30 years of experience to the organization. She directs strategic communications for the Department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences, the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC), and more than 30 neuroscience research laboratories. Her portfolio includes developing and maintaining websites, curating content for social media, and ensuring consistent branding and messaging across a wide network of programs and initiatives.

Elizabeth partners with faculty, researchers, and university communications teams to translate complex neuroscience research into engaging, accessible content for diverse audiences—students, clinicians, funders, and the public alike. Her work spans content strategy, digital platforms, media relations, events, and outreach designed to raise the visibility and impact of neuroscience research at Stanford.

When she isn’t developing and managing websites or curating social media content, Elizabeth is raising two young boys with her husband in Colorado. She enjoys the outdoors and family life in the beautiful Rocky Mountain state.

As the Communications Manager for the Department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences at Stanford Medicine, I oversee internal and external communications and lead the communications team. I steward a diverse suite of channels—including more than 30 School of Medicine websites, newsletters, posters, and social media—and collaborate across departments to translate neuroscience advances into clear, compelling messaging for patients, learners, and researchers.
