Bio


As a sustainability scientist with a background in the social sciences and systems methods, Garry is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and intergenerational well-being. He has experience in solution innovation, decision analysis, strategic planning, cross-sector partnering, nonprofit consulting, and qualitative and quantitative research. Garry's sustainability-related work extends back 15+ years, ranging from social protection and resilience in the Middle East to decision-making and adaptation to policy and climate change in the United States and Ukraine. He has led applied and theoretical research on these topics, funded by the UN FAO, USDA, USFS, US DOS, and World Bank. Garry teaches adaptation to climate change, decision-making, strategic planning, and transformative societal change.
