Current Research and Scholarly Interests

The potential for shale gas recovery and exploration is a game changer in the struggle for energy independence in the United States and subsequently this would have huge implications on the energy markets across the globe. My research interest is to better understand the complexities of deep shale recovery and grow knowledge in the field of unconventional gas. This includes understanding the transport phenomena of gas in shale rocks and a petrophysical evaluation along with sorption studies for possible enhanced methane recovery and CO2 sequestration in gas shale.
