Dr. Hongjie Peng is a postdoctoral fellow of SUNCAT Center for Interface Science and Catalysis. He has extensive experience with electrochemistry and energy-related applications. His work began with the development of novel lithium-based secondary batteries for energy storage as a graduate student working at Tsinghua University. He moved to Stanford/SLAC at 2018. His research interests at SUNCAT include: (1) computational catalyst screening for electrocatalytic reactions such as carbon dioxide reduction and water splitting; (2) electrochemical reaction simulating; (3) microkinetic modeling.
