Katharina is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Management Science & Engineering at Stanford University.

RESEARCH AREA: Computational Social Science/ Organization, Technology & Entrepreneurship

Katharina's research lies at the intersection of data science, organization and management studies. She is interested in understanding how digitization is changing the future of work and organizations. Her current project uses network analysis and natural language processing to predict and improve the performance of virtual teams. Since complex work is increasingly accomplished by teams of individuals collaborating online, measuring and understanding their work process is crucial for positive organizational outcomes. Katharina also builds computational models to study how organizational culture emerges and evolves over time, especially in distributed and virtual settings.
