Bio

Katherine has worked in clinical research at Stanford since 2010 and has a background in global health epidemiology. Prior to leading the newly formed Participant Engagement Program in the Stanford Medicine Research Office/ Spectrum, Katherine worked in the Departments of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, Pediatrics- Genetics (with the Maternal Child Health Research Institute), and Dermatology. In 2016, she helped launch Stanford’s first Community Advisory Board for Clinical Research. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of recruiting across a variety of populations, Katherine is eager to make study recruitment more efficient, and is passionate about engaging participants as partners in the research process.

The Participant Engagement Program (PEP) gives research teams the tools to find participants and engage them as partners in research. We also connect with Bay Area communities to share studies and results.
