Bio


Born and raised in Amsterdam, Laura obtained her degrees in International Relations, China Studies, Political Science and International Law from Leiden University, the Netherlands. Hereafter, she worked at a women's rights NGO in Beijing, China, where she conducted her award-winning research on the Chinese #MeToo movement. After three years as a political analyst and press officer at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Beijing, she moved to New York to work on disarmament and international security affairs at the United Nations Secretariat.
