Bio


Lizzy is the Program Manager for the Bits & Watts Initiative at the Precourt Institute for Energy. In June 2021, Lizzy completed her master’s degree in Stanford’s Sustainable Design and Construction program. In 2015, Lizzy received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from West Virginia University, then joined the Edison Engineering Leadership Development Program at General Electric. She left GE in 2017 to manage the installation of a clean-water center and solar mini-grid in Sierra Leone, Africa. After returning to the US, Lizzy worked for Ameresco where she developed design portfolios to reduce water and energy consumption for military base housing. In 2020, Lizzy interned with Bits & Watts where she researched the viability of widespread microgrid deployment across the US.
