Mai received her M.S. in Bioengineering from Santa Clara University in 2018. Before joining Stanford, she worked on engineering cell-derived nanovesicles for delivery of therapeutics into mammalian cells. Mai has extensive experience in designing exosomes for delivery of protein drugs into human cells. Additionally, she worked on drug delivery system targeting blood-borne cancer.
Mai is married has 2 shiba inu puppies Becky and Pocky.
Current Role at Stanford
Mai is a Manufacturing Specialist at the Laboratory for Cell and Gene Medicine. She works in a cGMP environment to manufacture cell therapeutics for clinical trials.
