Bio

Mert is a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University. His research is at the intersection of high-performance computing and software systems for exascale computing. His work focuses on optimizing communications between GPUs, especially on hierarchical systems involving multi-GPU nodes. Mert recently obtained PhD in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was a Givens fellow with Argonne National Laboratory and a member of IBM-Illinois Center for Cognitive Computing Research.
