Bio


I am a petroleum engineer with strong background in Physics and Applied Math. I have worked on developing new geostatistical methods for modeling heterogeneous and low-permeability reservoirs. My professional experience also includes application of machine learning algorithms in geological modeling. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D degree in Energy Resources Engineering at Stanford University in SUPRI-B research group. I am excited by data science and machine learning (computer vision, NLP) as well as their related applications in the reservoir characterization and simulation.

Current Research and Scholarly Interests


My PhD research lies in the area of stochastic analysis of subsurface flow and study of stochastic PDEs. Specifically, I am working on the development of accurate and fast methods for uncertainty propagation and risk assessment of two-phase flow. I am also interested in developing efficient uncertainty quantification methods which can account for more challenging and complex input geological fields, e. g. non-stationary random fields with complex distributions, for example, such as modeled with multipoint geostatistics.
