Owen Bradfield
Visiting Researcher Student, GR Visiting Researcher
Bio
I am a dual-qualified MD/JD from Australia, who aspires to solve complex dilemmas at the intersection of medicine, ethics and the law. I am currently completing my PhD in health law at the University of Melbourne, where I am examining the interaction between physician health and legal claims. I combine my research with part-time clinical practice and a portfolio of statutory appointments, including as Chairperson of Victoria’s Patient Review Panel. As a 2020 Fulbright Future Scholar, I am excited to be spending four months of my Australian PhD program as a Visiting Student Researcher in the Stanford Department of Health Policy under the supervision of Professor David Studdert. I look forward to sharing ideas and perspectives and to learning more about the US system of physician regulation and physician wellness programs. I also look forward to performing with the Stanford Symphony Orchestra.
