Bio

I am a nationally recognized outdoor recreation and conservation leader with a career focus on ensuring time outdoors is viewed as a fundamental aspect of health and that outdoor athletes have access to mental health support. I am a community driven, consensus and bridge building leader. I am seeking an opportunity to combine my experience in health, the outdoors, nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and community building into a transformative leadership opportunity. For the last nearly four years I’ve been an award winning executive director of Friends of Grand Rapids Parks, leading habitat restoration, trail building, and tree planting.

I am working through the Veteran Fellowship at The Hoover Institute to design a regional investment framework to coordinate public and private efforts, identify policy barriers, and activate landowners, agencies, and funders. The result: a replicable model for cross-jurisdictional collaboration that drives rural revitalization through outdoor infrastructure.
