Valerie Kinsey
PWR Advanced Lecturer
Writing and Rhetoric Studies
Bio
Since 2003, I've had the pleasure of working with hundreds of university students through teaching first year writing, technical writing, creative writing, creative thinking, semiotics, literature, and critical thinking. Prior to returning to Stanford, I taught at the University of New Mexico and the Southwest University of Visual Arts in Albuquerque, where I also served as the General Education Department Chair.
I graduated from Stanford University with an AB (Humanities; 1998); I earned my MFA (Creative Writing; 2005) and PhD (English/Rhetoric; 2015) at the University of New Mexico.
