Bio


Yusuf Ashktorab is a medical student at Howard University College of Medicine with a strong interest in the intersection of artificial intelligence, clinical medicine, and health disparities. He is currently conducting research in the Department of Medicine (Nephrology) at Stanford University under the mentorship of Dr. Shuchi Anand, working on AI-based models to predict and understand chronic kidney disease of unknown etiology (CKDu). Yusuf has previously conducted research at UCSF and the NIH, with a focus on leveraging large datasets, machine learning, and cytokine profiling to address complex health challenges. He is passionate about using data-driven tools to improve care for underserved populations and hopes to contribute to the development of equitable and innovative solutions in medicine.
