  • Director or Projects, Tubelines, London Underground (click here), Bechtel Infrastructure (2007 - 2010)

Led integrated client team responsible for delivering £2.9 billion in capital improvements to the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines which carried over 45% of London Underground's 1 billion passengers/year. One of first large international P3s (US/UK/Spanish JV), Projects included upgrading 99 stations, 150 escalators and 32 lifts, replacing and refurbishing 150km of track during late night and weekends; all these works delivered ahead of schedule, nights and weekends. The largest brown-field signaling upgrade in the world, and a quantum leap from the WWII era mechanical lever-frame line-side signals being replaced, the Jubilee line upgrade increased system capacity by 40%. A similar upgrade on the Northern line was commenced. Achieved 20 month, contiguous 8.8M hours without a single lost time injury; unprecedented on a UK operating railway.
