Current Research and Scholarly InterestsDr. Hart-Cooper's research focuses on youth provider barriers and education surrounding pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP). He founded the Virtual PrEP Program for Adolescents and Young Adults at Stanford to improve access to PrEP care for youth within California. In his current role, he advises health departments and health systems in creating youth-focused telehealth tools to improve youth access to PrEP.

Alica Hartmann

BioAlica Hartmann is a postdoctoral researcher at the University Medical Center Mainz, Germany, with a background in public health, ophthalmology, and population-based epidemiology. Her work focuses on early-life risk factors and their long-term health consequences, with a particular interest in preterm birth, fetal growth restriction, and sex-specific differences in health outcomes. During her visiting research stay at Stanford, she will join the Department of Pediatrics to further develop her work in perinatal epidemiology.
