Jordi Martinez
Ph.D. Student in Neurosciences, admitted Autumn 2025
Bio
I am a second-year graduate student advised by Dr. Anthony Ricci, currently studying how membranes can modulate mechanosensitive ion channel kinetics. My research trajectory has been diverse, starting with human neuroimaging using diffusion-weighted scans of clinical populations, transitioning to the molecular biology of oligodendrocyte myelination, and now moving into the biophysics and electrophysiology of audition.
