Bio
Alejandro Torres (He/Him/El) has been a Financial Aid Administrator since 2016.
In 2022, Alejandro joined the Stanford Law School as Associate Director of Financial Aid and in 2023, Alejandro would go on to serve as Loan Coordinator for the Central Financial Aid Office at the university. In May 2025, Alejandro was promoted to the role of Associate Director of Technology for the Central Financial Aid Office and currently serves in this role
Previously he served as Operations Specialist and then Assistant Director of Financial Aid at the University of California: Hastings College of the Law and prior to that was a financial aid counselor at Academy of Art University. His passions within Financial Aid include troubleshooting system issues, streamlining department operations, demystifying the financial aid application process with students one-on-one, financial literacy, and educating on the Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
Alejandro holds a BA degree in Dramatic Art and Film Studies from the University of California: Davis. He is a proud, native San Franciscan and a freelance theatre director having his work often featured in the Bay Area but also formerly in Davis and Edinburgh in the United Kingdom.
On his days off he enjoys going to concerts, plays, movies, art/natural history museums, travel, and learning Mandarin.
