Bio

Social epidemiologist studying how housing, neighborhoods, and social policy shape mental health and substance use. This research combines causal inference methods and machine learning to answer policy-relevant questions about homelessness, substance use, and health equity, drawing on more than 15 years of experience analyzing large-scale health data, from Medicare claims to population-level linked databases. Before the PhD at Columbia University, prior roles included Senior Biostatistician at Brigham and Women's Hospital and several years in population health data management in Canada.
