Bio


Aparna Atluru, MD MBA is clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Stanford University.

At Stanford, she serves as psychiatrist in the WellConnect program. Her clinical expertise is in physician, resident, and medical student mental health. She also treats patients in Stanford Mental Health for Asians Research and Treatment (SMHART) Clinic, which focuses on culturally informed applications of evidence-based mental health care. Prior to returning to Stanford, she served as assistant professor at UCSF and lead psychiatrist at UCSF student health and counseling services.

Dr. Atluru completed her residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and her child and adolescent fellowship training at Stanford, where she served as chief fellow. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, and attended medical school at Texas Tech. She also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Dr. Atluru is co-founder, chief medical officer, and board member at Marvin Health, which specializes in providing mental health care for physicians and healthcare professionals, and operates nationwide. She is actively involved in the digital health and health innovation eco-systems in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City.

Dr. Atluru has received numerous awards for her work including the Laughlin fellowship, the APA leadership fellowship, and the Group for Advancement of Psychiatry fellowship. She is double boarded in adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
