Bio

Arthur Dattin is an MSc student in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Energy Sciences, at ETH Zurich. He is completing his master's thesis in Prof. Meagan Mauter's WE3 Lab. He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from EPFL.

He works on flexible loads, combining power systems, optimization and machine learning. Before Stanford, he built a data-driven control framework at the Singapore-ETH Centre that runs building HVAC systems as a virtual power plant. At Romande Energie, a Swiss utility, he deployed an electricity market forecasting model that the trading desk now uses.

Outside research, he is a competitive triathlete, a scout leader and a saxophonist.
