Michael Victor Sianipar

BioMichael Victor Sianipar concurrently holds the positions of Chairman of the Indonesian Futsal Federation and the General Treasurer of the Indonesian Unity Party. He has operated at the intersection of Indonesian politics, public governance, and institutional reform. Michael’s track record spans driving strategic campaigns for regional leaders and spearheading governance overhauls in major provinces like Jakarta and West Nusa Tenggara. A champion of ecosystem transformation, his leadership experience extends from building emergent political parties and scaling civil society networks to modernizing the national sports industry. Previously, he was the Regional Personal Aide to the Governor of Jakarta from 2012 to 2017 and Governor of West Nusa Tenggara from 2018 to 2019, Head of Indonesian Solidarity Party in Jakarta (2017-2022), and Chair of the Indonesian Youth Diplomacy (2020-2025).
Michael’s mission is to catalyze deep-seated societal transformation by architecting high-impact synergies between the public sector, private enterprise, and civil society across local, national, and global ecosystems. Throughout the years in government offices, he has handled various portfolios ranging from budgeting, government transparency, corruption eradication, internship program, district-level management, personnel management, to the development of smart city and open data initiatives.
Michael graduated from Yonsei University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations. He was also a recipient of the Alumni Appreciation Award from Yonsei University, awarded in 2015, as one of two alumni who contributed the most for the past ten years and whose work continue to reflect the University’s core values. He will take a sabbatical from active political participation by pursuing an MBA at Stanford University starting in 2026. -

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsRobert Siegel researches strategy and innovation in both large and small companies, as well as the opportunities and challenges that technological change brings to these firms. Additionally, Robert teaches product management and product development best practices and methods, as well as entrepreneurial finance over the life-cycle of growing companies.
