  BioSamantha Basch is a Jim Joseph Postdoctoral Fellow in the Stanford Graduate School of Education. Sam’s research examines the cultural practices caregivers enact to support young children’s learning. She is also interested in how parents think about what it means to be a “good parent” in our complex world. Sam earned her PhD in Developmental Psychology from UC Santa Cruz in 2025.
