Miguel Morillas
Postdoctoral Scholar, Education
BioMiguel Morillas is a sociologist and organizational researcher working at the intersection of migration, organizations, and inequality. He is based at SCANCOR and works with Professor Tomás R. Jiménez in the Department of Sociology.
Miguel uses primarily ethnographic and qualitative methods to study how organizations shape the inclusion of migrants and ethnic minorities. He examines how migrants’ skills, identities, and life trajectories are recognized and valued, and how migrants, in turn, navigate and reshape organizational contexts. His broader interests include inclusion and exclusion, recognition, meaning-making, and organizational memory. He holds a PhD in Management and Organization from the Stockholm School of Economics.
