Italo Romani de Oliveira

BioÍtalo Romani de Oliveira, received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, in 2007, with an internship period in the Dutch National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR), and a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the Mathematics and Statistics Institute of the same university, in 1999. He has dedicated his careers to applications in the fields of Railway Systems, Air Traffic Management, and Avionics, developing methodologies with formal computational methods, Multi-Agent Dynamic Risk Models, Advanced Monte Carlo techniques, and various types of optimization algorithms. He worked in the aerospace companies Atech/Embraer, Rolls-Royce, Honeywell, General Electric, and, since 2016, he has been working in Boeing Research & Technology. In Boeing, he develops new algorithms and systems for improving Airline and Airspace Operational Efficiency, including aspects of traffic safety with the presence of autonomous aircraft.
