His undergraduate research, conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Yibin Kang, centered around cancer metastasis and cancer stem cell biology. He is currently an MD-PhD candidate in the lab of Dr. Irving Weissman, where he researches human neural stem cells and primary brain malignancies.
